WinG has always aimed to reach those people and groups who have the least opportunity to take part in outdoor activities and to learn through experience of adventure, though our work is much more than providing outdoor activities.
It is about encouraging people to discover and value different ways of learning, to grow in self-confidence, to develop communication skills and also their ability to cooperate with other people and develop their potential.
WinG works with a range of disadvantaged people of differing age groups, unemployed and disabilities.
We secure funding to deliver specific targeted projects and have delivered programmes to the over 55’s, unemployed, those who have struggled with alcohol or substance misuse and those who need a boost with their well-being and health.
Encouraging people to:
Discover and value different ways of learning
Grow in confidence
Develop communication skills
Improve their ability to cooperate with other people
Develop their own potential
