WinG specialise in delivering the DofE Expedition Section. This can be delivered as a package which includes all preparation, planning, delivery of practice and qualifying expeditions.

These can be based across the North East or beyond with recent expeditions heading to the Lake District and as far afield as the Scottish Highlands.

It is possible to complete your expedition with us using walking, canoeing, or mountain biking as your mode of transport at all levels of the Award.

School / Youth Group Package

WinG can tailor a package that suits your group. A standard package would include all preparatory sessions for the expedition covering everything on the Expedition Framework. We will then deliver both Practice and Qualifying Expeditions including supervision, travel to and from your chosen venue and use of any equipment needed.

DofE Open Groups

WinG deliver Open DofE Awards that anyone aged between 14-25 can sign up to. Young people will receive the expedition package as described above and will also have a WinG mentor to guide them through the Skills, Physical and Volunteering Sections.

Any of our outdoor activities have the potential to be used for the Physical and Skills Sections of the Award.

WinG holds an Operating Authority Licence (OA) and is also an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the Expedition Section.
